Well, about a week ago I loaded my car down with everything I thought I would need in California. The first thing I did was load my car with 4 bikes. After loading the bikes I tried to fit in stuff like underwear and maybe some ramen noodles. I figure it would all work itself out in the end.

In a recent book "How lance does it" the secret to his success was the journey "superficial motivators can throw you for a lloop and result in diminished motivation and focus....Someone with a clear pupose and motivated by love of the journey drives rewards that transcend the fickle winning and losing of the superficial world." Lao-Tzu said "A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving"
What's scarier, a 1060 lb. wild boar running around in the woods(where you could mtn bike), or an 11 year old with a .50 caliber pistol?

I can't wait to see some of these replies. The more they reflect riding a bike the better.
Like this: .....A full suspension bike is a necessity rather than a novelty.
maybe that will change my bad luck. Wish I could get the frame back, with an rp23 on it, as well as my old body in good working order.
If anyone is interested in riding some really killer remote singletrack, we're having a big Memorial Day RIde and BBQ up here @ Strawberry Mt. Farm. The ride will take place in the mountains just east of Ricketts Glen State Park. Rough, remote gnarly singletrack that is like the American Standard before it got all ridden in. Big climbs and nice views, and a really remote (read Epic Adventure) location. If interested, post here and I'll post directions. Meeting time time is at 10:00.
Afterward, we're having a nice BBQ and possibly a bonfire.
It almost cannot get any weirder than riding with Bud, Chris Talotta (Hammy), Crazy Steve Cihylik and Chris Van Dine. Too much diversity, too much energy, and way too windy yesterday. Great loop around Ttown, Kutztown and Virginville. And you know what?
