Lyme Info: Please Read

I had my follow-up appointment with my infectious disease doctor this am.
I'm on the road to full recover. Still have inflammation in my neck which makes for a bunch of interesting sounds, but that should hopefully clear up relatively soon.

I really want to share some stuff I learned so you can keep healthy:

South Mountain is a known hot bed for ticks infected with lyme disease (S. Mountain is Lehigh, Salisbury and Emmaus! -- in other words, practically everywhere we ride).

Green Mountain Envy

Guitarswheelies and I went up to Stowe Vt to visit my buddy Mike and ride. We rode the usual Town Loop and some extreme hiking before heading over to the Kingdom Trails (KTA) and camping/riding. The KTA was excellent. There is endless fast smooth singletrack and some advanced trails like "Tody's Tour" and "Sidewinder". The place was absolutely beautiful. It even smelled like pine trees the whole time. The downhill trails were closed due to mud. Mike knows the trailbuilders and wanted to respect them.

Any more Wednesday night J-Burg rides in August?

Hi Smile I was wondering if there would be anymore SVB Wednesday night J-Burg rides in August? Some kind of cold has hit me hard this week and I couldn't make it to the ride this evening. I really have been wanting to go to one of those rides but either weather, school, or, now, sickness has kept me from coming. At first I was freaked out that I might have Lyme Disease after all the discussion about it on this site...but I strongly doubt it (no evidence of a tick bite, for starters)...but I definitely have the headache, joint ache, and fever. I think something is going around.

MS 150 Ride

I'm riding in the MS 150 ride this year, if anyone is interested in making a donation to the cause and help me reach the required amount it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Power tools and Beer in Kutztown

I don't know if anyone has seen the recent weather news, but Kutztown was victim of a serious microburst that produced some destructive winds.

Well, the reason for this post is to ask for some help. Thankfully, my home and property was spared minus some minor repair; but my next door neighbor has lost at least four large trees. Three were blown down from the ground (roots and all) and the other was snapped at the first trunk break.

Her insurance company will not pay for the full cost of a tree removal service.
