Anyone have any suggestions? Thinking of slapping one together on the down tube for the front wheel for tommorow-looks easy enough.
I was at BC about a week or two ago and to my dismay new construction! Anyone have information on this and what will the status of the trails be!!!
I decided to try racing this year in the MASS series, and was able to procure a spot on the SVB team for '07.
XC riding is my thing, so MASS #1 XC race at French Creek State Park was the beginning.
I had a chance to pre-ride the course three week prior and found it to be not as rocky as it was described to me from others.
I knew I had to train right, so Sals was the best spot to train rock/hilly trails. I made sure I road the loop at least 2 times a week. I have to say, it did help me immensely.
Well looks like I got a Job in california, so now need to turn this into an adventure-Heres what i am thinking, but im looking for Input:
01 June-Depart PA, head to Ohio-
02 June-Mohican 100, Race camp, Drink Beer
03 June-Wake up, head to chicago crash with some old friends drink lots of beer.
04 June Head North to duluth, MN crash with some friends,
05 June drink beer, fish, drink beer, maybe fish, not sure what else we will do in dultuh.
06 -07 June Head to Colorado Springs, CO- hopefully link up with some friends and ride some single track
Bud thinks he's taken a serious beating in the forums this year. He said on our road ride yesterday. He is a little heavier this season and he has not had the sheer intensity of training that he usually has by this time. Consequently, he cannot beat up on his friends like he's used to.
So I get to BC for the early morning ride. I go about 50 yards into the trail and my chain pops. I get out the chain tool to take out the busted link, refasten the chain and try to put my wheel back on only to find out that I threaded the chain improperly through the rear deraileur.
Out comes the chain tool again, off comes a link and proper threading of the chain through rear, on goes tire spin pedals....Damn!! I forgot to put the chain through the front deraileur. :madmax:
getting kind of dark on the boards. Hurts my eyes a little til I adjust.
Anyone doing the first Diablo DH event (Sunday , May 20th)?
It will be Jonk's first DH event. And as what he calls over-protective parents, we are always looking for help and advise on things we don't fully understand.
