Compression Socks
Saw a good article from a running ezine about compression socks but I'm sure it applies to all sports... interesting.
Doesn't fit in the other forums, post it here

These pics were taken along my local trails just below the Pagoda on Mt. Penn, near Reading, PA. I tried to get a closer look but was promptly chased away by the authorities. Fortunately I knew the trails better than they did!

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Easton Sports, has announced a voluntary recall on about 6,400 bikes with EA30 stems.
The bicycle stem can crack and cause the rider to lose control, posing a risk of serious injury if the rider falls. The company received a report of a stem breaking, causing a minor injury to the rider.
Interesting commentary.

After teaching the instructors clinic today for the PMBA, I figure it is about time to start planning another VMB skills clinic. The last one was a success, and it would be nice to do it again. So, is there interest out there for another clinic, and what suggestions might you have?
Someone went to a lot of trouble to perceive of a need for this thing and actually construct it. What do you think its for?

I was supposed to host a demo day at Jordan with my Marin Rep but it was rained out. I spoke with my rep yesterday and he will be dropping off some '09 and '10 demos for you to ride (wherever you want). I dont know exactly what models he has available yet but when I get them here next week I will post models and sizes.

It was Kenny's idea -- how about a night ride to check out this event on Tuesday, Nov. 17th? The last one I saw in 2002 was from the North Lookout at Hawk Mountain and it was incredible. So, possible ride destinations to watch are from the grassy upper field in Jburg, the hang-glider launch pad on the mountain near Water Gap, or my personal favorite and the best legal spot: the Pinnacle. Anyone interested? It will be a late night, but well worth it. Yes, lights are allowed for this ride. Most likely going to the Pinnacle...
Please reply if interested.
Here is some info:
i got word this morning that there was some leaf blowing at lehigh. this is weak and doesnt help in any way but maybe to the pussification of mountain bikers. but seriously, i remember when bernie did this years back and it was a disaster. what will happen is the nights freeze and the days thaw(especially in the south side) and forms a slick much worse than leaves. and maybe even skidding and rutting out the trail . yes it may help you see the line now but ruins them come nov, dec, and early jan when temps warm up during the day.
