I had a bunch of miles that were due to expire on my Scandinavian frequent flyer account. So I sprung for a few little X-mas presents for the family and also a new bike helmet. Comes from Germany.

Has two cool features, which are new to me. The strap fastens with an adjustable tongue (see red release button). And the internal head band that is padded has an adjustment feature...you simply turn the clear star wheel to tighten or loosen the fit. Fits my big fat head like a glove.

Cool matte black also.

I rode BC yesterday afternoon and it was like I hadn't ridden in weeks. The leaves were so thick it was like riding through quicksand, draining my legs of life with every stroke. All the rocks and roots that you see every other ride seemed to reach up from under the leafy cover like a fleshy hand escaping from an earthy grave to grab my tires. Sometimes I'd stop dead and sometimes I'd be sent off the trail into the trees. Slick! Like fresh guts sliding across ice! Speed was slow, muscles were tight, adrenaline pumping, it was all about survivial.

This weather blows :sick: Sorry but had to get that off my depressed mind :cryin:

Anyone riding this evening? Sals? SMB was a good ride last night especially with all the wet leaves!
I was thinking of doing sals around 4:30-4:45ish...

Since my demo day was cancelled due to rain, I talked to my rep about leaving me some demo bikes for a few weeks this fall for people to try, anywhere you want. Demo models he has available are 5" travel trail bikes, 6" travel AM bikes, 29" hardtails, carbon XC race bikes, and some road bikes. Please post if interested so I can give him some feedback. I rode all of these already and am looking forward to getting them on some real terrain.

A kitten was found at Trexler Nature Preserve on Monday that needs a home. It cant be more than a couple months old. If there are any cat lovers out there, please PM me about giving this kitten a home.

My weekly Wednesday rides have come to an end for the season. We averaged somewhere around 8-10 riders each week, and had about 40 different riders join us at some point during the season. I would like to thank everyone that joined in on the rides. I had a fantastic time, and got to meet many great new people :thumbsup:.

I plan on starting back up with the same type of ride schedule in March after the clocks change. Hope everyone has a good winter riding season.

Just a newb to this community saying hello and thanks for the resource.
This is a neat site and I am very much looking forward to meeting and perhaps reacquainting with other bikers in the Lehigh Valley.

Going to try and stay active on two wheels this Winter instead of hibernating like always.
Looking forward to hooking into some group riding and, hopefully, a little peer pressure to keep me going out when the cold winds blow.
