Finished up just after the rain started coming down. Came across 2 other riders who were still on the mountain when I departed.
I'm still struggling with the climbs...it really is a physical stamina issue for me. Have to take Heidi's advice and train by doing repeated climbs over at Jacobsburg.
The leaves on the rocks didn't help but my new Chunder tires made a world of difference (Thanks Lisa & John @ Cutters). I have them mounted backwards and they are a little slow but traction is awesome. :cornut:
Sorry for any inconveniences, but we will be closed tomorrow due to forecast of ridiculous rain again. The awards are rescheduled for next Sat. rain or shine.
Do we have this around here? :yikes:
Late notice morning ride if anyone is still awake. Wed 10/21 I'll be starting at 39 at 10. I'm not a hammer rider so pace will be slow uphill and moderate downhill. I figure lunch at Tulum afterwards. If anyone is up for this cool. If not I'm goin anyway.
IMBA switched there master insurance policy because the old insurance policy was no longer covering Clubs that build, design or maintain trails. The old policy premium was $300.
IMBA secured a new master contract with Fireman's Fund that covers the above. Problem is that the new premium is $901 !!! ($7.00 per paid member, plus fees)
That will kill our Treasury.......
Though I am not the biggest lance fan (but I am a huge Dave Weins fan), I think this is a great thing to see -- the showing of the Lance/Leadville 100 race documentary this Thurs is one night, nationwide. Looks like a killer flick. Here is the info:

Perhaps we could make one on Jonk and Kenny some day...
BERLIN — Part of Berlin's red-light scene is going green.
One bordello, hoping to stave off falling demand in the economic crisis, has begun offering discounts to customers who pedal bicycles to the door.
"It's very difficult to find parking around here, and this option is better for our environment," said Thomas Goetz, who owns the brothel Maison d'Envie, or House of Desire.
Due to the weather we will be closed tomorrow. The forecast at the mountain is for snow, rain at the mountain today, tonight, and tomorrow. See everyone on the 24th !
