Parked at Dodson last night and received a ticket for "being in the park after dark". He issued it at 8:05 p.m. We must've rode up right after he did it. You could see someone circled. Before we pulled away he came back and circled again. I mentioned that it was nice to see that they're patroling the area. Would've questioned it but unfortunately I did not notice it until crossing the hill to hill bridge. :cryin: $15.00! *#@*%#- ??? and didn't we just talk to the one officer two saturdays ago there?
Here's a cool video from the past. Pretty cool - also be sure to check out 11 minutes in.

I had a great time riding this weekend at Allamuchy. Two trails in particular had really rad natural features that were quite technical, but not too hard. One of them was Lumpy Bumpy I believe, which we would do first, and then the other one was more technical. They are really cool, and it would be a great place for a skills clinic and ride, as well as a first time experience riding there for some. It would be a definitely intermediate-ish level clinic due to the technical nature of it. Robbie and I will try to do a more general clinic like last season soon as well.
As most of you know I am a PE teacher in a catholic school. Next week we have many events going on for our "Catholic Schools Week". The theme is "Dividends for Life" and I am on the committee for activities on Wednesday Feb 3rd.
I have Tom Kellogg coming in to do a presentation for our 7th and 8th graders that will discuss geometry and bicycles. That will be cool. (I wanted Jay, but his schedule is too crazy so he gave me Tom's number)
Wow, looks like Pat will have a full day off this Saturday 1/30/10. We've never been to Allamuchy and wanted to see if anyone is interested in going. Seems like conditions should be good but looking for input and guidance. Thanks!
This is pretty freaking cool:

Coolest thing, aside from the fact that ESPN was walking around Dale's backyard, was a legitimate BMX icon commenting on the fact that the 20" and MTB worlds coexist here. This was definitely not the case up through a few years ago, and it shows the progression that is going on in the riding world here.
