Lake Tahoe Rides

Going to be doing some riding in the Lake Tahoe area this summer. Anyone been and have input on good rides/shops? Looking for decent distance (20+ a day) and probably 4-6 days of riding.

Thanks,

Evan

Trexler...

I finally got to ride Trex today.  The dealership was only open until 2pm today, so a co-worker and I headed to his place about a mile from the trailhead.  We grabbed a quick bite to eat before riding, then headed out for a quick road warm-up to the trailhead.  We rode what I guess was all the singletrack there - the red loop as I recall on the map.  This place is a lot of fun, and a good workout - plus if you add in some of the doubletrack roads and Border Trail, you could make a pretty big ride out of this place.

rothrock state forest

This place needs a post!!  today was the second stage of transylvaniaepic.com  . we left state college area by way of the big yellow school bus and headed for rothrock. it was a 40 mile stage to get back to camp.  hands down this was the best single track anywhere. i 've been lots of places and this place has shot itself to the top of my favorites.  so far the stage race has been epic.  there are some  real heavy hitters going for the win , but also plenty of racers just out for a good time and finish. i see this thing getting big in the future.

VMB T-SHIRT DESIGN CONTEST

On behalf of the Membership Committee, I proudly announce the second VMB T-shirt Design Contest!

How cool would that be to see your design on either the front or back of the Official VMB T-shirt!?!

Start creating and submit your designs. We'll give it about a month and set the deadline for June 30th.

Then we'll set up a poll and start voting for the best front and back designs. Good luck, be creative and have fun!

Mountain biking Sedona, AZ

I am planning a week long mountain biking vacation in December. Location is Sedona, AZ. I was wondering if anyone here has any insight/experience/suggestions they can share with me as it is my first time in Sedona. I am going with my girlfriend who is a begginer rider and I am begginer/intermediate but love a challange.

Game Lands/ Spring Turkey FYI

In light of what happened on the "Rudy missed green blaze" ride, the following is prohibited on PA state game lands during hunting seasons. I also found out today that this will change next year. The last 2 weeks of spring turkey will be full day hunts, which means all trails will be closed to recreational mt biking for the entire day, except Sunday.

Prohibited:

"Ride a non-motorized vehicle, conveyance or animal from the last
Saturday in September until the third Saturday in January, and
prior to one hour after close of lawful shooting hours for spring

Trails with quick drain/dry

My sister wanted me to take her to Jordan today but I'm guessing it'll be really messy/unrideable for her. Any local trails that are fairly beginner friendly/flat(ex. I dontthink I'm ready to take her to emmaus south mountain)? I'm local to emmaus and not trying to drive more than a half hour
