Thank You, Don!

The Officers and Board would like to recognize Don Kelly and express our gratitude for his years of dedicated service to VMB as both Secretary and in many other capacities that advanced our club's mission.

The role of secretary in any organization represents a truly vital function. Don, you were always modestly meticulous in your record-keeping and one of several veteran members who was always available to provide the rest of us pertinent club history and by-laws background at a moment's notice necessary to make key decisions. Thank you, Don.

Congratulations, Stavros! VMB's New Secretary . . . .

The VMB Officers and Board are pleased to announce that they have appointed Stavros as secretary to replace Don Kelly who resigned 4/1. Our by-laws require that an immediate appointment be made by the full Board whenever an officer vacancy occurs. Such an appointment must be confirmed by the membership at the next regularly-scheduled meeting (April 23rd in this case).

Trex Trails Getting Olympic Cycling Champion as Neighbor?

This is kind of interesting - according to the Lehigh County deeds published in Sunday's Morning Call, a "Martin Nothstein" bought a house March 1st on the ridge bordering Trex off Jordan/Old Packhouse Road in Lowhill Township just west of the covered bridge near KidsPeace. It more or less has direct access to the Border(?) Trail maybe a hundred feet from his driveway.

PPL powerlines being rebuilt at Lehigh and Sals

FYI: Not the news anyone annoyed with Mr. Rock Remover wants to hear but it's being reported by WFMZ TV and the Intelligencer newspaper out of Doylestown that the Quarry-Seidersville powerlines will be essentially completely rebuilt and upgraded beginning next March in conjunction with the energizing of a new line from Coopersburg to Quakertown under construction now.

Hello, Mr Rock Remover?!

Soooo...I did a loop at Sals on Sunday and did a much different loop and skipped the three Bs etc. When I got back to the Dodson lot I was speaking to a friend who just came up that trail. He said there was some tallish guy with a grayish mustache removing rocks from the trail. The self appointed trail worker said he was removing "tire biters" from the trail.
BTW. I believe the guy was not riding that day.

I was going to ride down and speak with the guy but I was running very late.
