Biker Chicks are Rad! (photos included)

They are especially rad when they drop you in the corners, as Renee did on our rip up through the twisties over Hawk Mt and out to Heisler's Dairy Bar. She and hubby John do a lot of track days, and it shows in her abilities. And her custom Honda Hawk has the most bad-ass sound of any moto around!

Discussing the lines for the ripping corners ahead, and plotting strategy for the ice cream on top. What you can't see is the custom exhaust that John made, and you wish you could hear it from this perspective roll on and off through the corners!

Stans tape sucks!!!

Just bought a roll of Stan's tape and applied to my newly laced Stan's rim. Cleaned with Simple Green degreaser. Well, as soon as I put the tire on, the tape popped off. Tried round 2, but cleaned with gum cutter, same thing. Any one have any suggestions? I cut a 4" piece and put it on the rim, came back 10 minutes later, and it peeled as well. What gives? I am told this stuff is the bomb! Thanks for any help. Shawn

any interest in a young kid's ride? like 4-6 y.o.?

My friend's 4 y.o. son gave up his balance bike which hed been clinging to and just started rocking a 16" with no training wheels, after seeing my son recently without training wheels. And my son has been starting to rip it up on some super easy singletrack. And I know Mike and Joelle's son is in the same stage too. Anyone else out there have a kiddo about that age and skill level?

Thank You for a Successful Steel City Enduro 2013!

Thanks goes out to VMB's members, board members, and officers who volunteered in making today's inaugural Steel City Enduro a huge success with 100 riders from as far away as Ohio, Virginia among other states taking part (Jason will be posting our final fundraising figures soon). It was a true committee effort by all involved to get things done from timing to taping to trail trimming and more - a number of riders including several participating in the pro division mentioned how impressed they were regarding race timing, Sals' layout, etc.

SMB Ride

I am planning on doing an SMB ride Saturday morning around 11 , maybe earlier, Thinking about two hours or so of riding. I need to spend most of the day ensuring all the racers are properly programmed into the new enduro timing application I wrote and run some final test. You know how I ride so if your down for some climbing abuse and a few jumps along the way let me know.

Steel City Enduro--Come on Out

Whether you race, volunteer or just want to cheer on the riders and have some great BBQ, come out to Sals July 14 for the Steel City Enduro.

The race is organized by VMB, is our largest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds go back to the local trails. But we want this event to be a celebration of our trails and a fun day for VMB members, too.
