Starting in June, VMB will host a monthly skills clinic. We'll try to alternate between weeknights and weekends, and vary the location depending on what's being covered. We're aiming for 2-hour clinics that are fun, informative and over the summer and fall will cover a wide array of skills and rider levels.
Hi ALL, Newbie here trying to get more involved in Mountain Biking so I joined VMB late last year. I've been watching the board ever since for beginners rides / skills clinics, etc. I did attend Renee's Beginner Ride @ Sal's' and had a 'really good time'! Honestly though at my level I prefer Nox. & had FUN at Trex (but did enjoy the challenge of Sals).
My biggest issue is that I work 3-11 PM and rarely have a day off, so that leaves out 'most' of the rides I've seen posted.
The officers of VMB are collectively disappointed in the number of derisive comments, personal attacks, and antagonistic statements that have been made recently on the VMB website. We are currently looking at ways to address this issue.
I hadn't thought of this in years, but we were just talking about it a few weeks back on the Wednesday-night ride. Just heard Kris Kross (Chris Kelly) died. Maybe we should all wear our riding shorts backwards in memoriam next week.

I have much respect for this. For me, riding is about fun, I don't follow racing too much, and so I love seeing a champ not taking himself too seriously.
I'm replacing the decking on my back yard deck so I've got a pile of used pressure treated lumber. It's mostly 2X6's of different lengths, it's in decent shape with some nail holes. There is about 600 board feet of lumber. I can get it to most area riding sites if needed.

Does anyone have a big trail map printed for Sals? Or does someone have access to a nice printer--we could use 3. The Kiosks have been repaired and updated content is needed.

Just read on Bear Creeks website that starting May 1st anyone using BC's trails or Disc golf will require a mountain pass. Cost is$25 and is purchased at hotel lobby.
