Completed LWA's Gap Gallop Century this weekend!

Weather was cool, 40's in the morn, but warmed up to 60 in the afternoon. I road with 2 other friends, and my goal was to complete the ride in 7hrs. I don't think I road anymore than 40miles at a time, so it might be somewhat difficult this year. The gallop is a ride from NCACC to Danielsville, over the blue mountain to Delware Water Gap, down to Wind Gap and back to NCACC. I have to say I was riding strong right from the beginning, but my one friend bonked at 50 miles and decided to hang with him after we got some hydration and snacks at the second checkpoint.

Had one of those rides today

One of those "on" rides that is, you know what I'm talking about. Everything just happened, without effort, I flowed down the trail like water.

It was just the right combination of factors that fell into place. Legs were rested from a couple days off the bike. Weather was a perfect 58 degrees and sunny. Leaves are starting to fall and the trails were gorgeous and in perfect condition from the rain we had.

Every ride can't be as perfect as that one was, but man do I love when that happens.

Spare Wheel

hey, riders! does anyone have a spare rear wheel with 8 rings that you don't need? a friend of mine is fixing up a mountain bike for commuting to work.
thanks~
