Ticks & Lyme & Salisbury

They're out there - now!

My little trek at Sals on Saturday resulted in 10 ticks between two of us...
Pennsylvania is bad and the Sals area is a known hotbed.

This from a recent email I received:

Penna tops Nation Again in Lyme Disease

If you're out there hunting or hiking or wildlife-watching, you should be aware that Pennsylvania has more Lyme disease cases than any other state, according to the Center for Disease Control.

Kingdom Trails

Been thinking about going to Kingdom trails this year. I've read a bunch of blogs, watched some Youtube vids and it looks like great get away. Anyone have any input and lodging suggestions?

Whitehall Park

Last night I met with Environmental Advisory Council that oversees the Whitehall Parkway . I presented a plan to clean up the existing single/double track trail system in the parkway. After I left, the council discussed the plan and then voted on our involvement in the parkway. The council chairman called me last night to let me know they had approved the cleanup. All we need to do is provide the club's insurance info. to the Township Executive and we are good to go. I'll be posting some work days over the next few weeks.

M.A.S.S. open house

Check this out. There will also be a team kit in the window at Cadence the next week or two. There is also a big ass poster of the flyer below in the window - its probably 3' x 4'.

Right now I have Rob, Hebe, Wes, and me at the Open House. Can anyone else make it?

Wes is going to blog about this. Ray can you make sure it gets on the FB page? Everyone else, please spread the word to friends - Rob maybe put something on the VMB site? Feel free to distribute this flyer.

Web Site Maintenance Notice

This Fri. the 13th (oh man) 6:00 pm'ish, I'll be taking the VMB site offline to update the site software to the next version.

I'm hoping to have it all complete by Friday evening, but there's always the possibility that it could run into Saturday. A test migration on a development server has proven it's going to be a fairly time consuming process, but I have everything documented and the second time should be much faster.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but keeping up to date is important.

michaux camp

I had a few questions regarding the training camp at the end of march at michaux. All info can be found by going to bikereg, click on "other", then cycling camps, then development camp at michaux, then the event website at top. This is not my event , but i do help out. you can count on being busy all weekend and probably tired by the end of it.
