Last night I met with Environmental Advisory Council that oversees the Whitehall Parkway . I presented a plan to clean up the existing single/double track trail system in the parkway. After I left, the council discussed the plan and then voted on our involvement in the parkway. The council chairman called me last night to let me know they had approved the cleanup. All we need to do is provide the club's insurance info. to the Township Executive and we are good to go. I'll be posting some work days over the next few weeks. This is a fairly simple project, some pruning and raking will get the existing trail system ridable. After that they are open to us to proposing and then building some additional trails. They were also receptive to discussing a skills area/pump track/kid's trail. I'll keep everyone posted as things develop.
