While reading about tire preferences, I noticed that telebutch and rsdmag both have (or had) Giant Anthems. I've got my eye on a 2008 Anthem 2 at my LBS for $1650, and I'd appreciate any thoughts from Anthem and/or Trance riders.
OK, so following on the heels of Mary Fran's Christmas gift post....
Got my husband a Blu Ray player for Christmas, and I want to get him some Bike DVD's. (translation: I like to get him gifts that I want too :evil: ).
What are your favorite Bike DVD's? I realize most of them won't even come in Blu Ray, but that's OK. Just let me know what's mandatory viewing.

Any tips from veterans who ride with pooches?
My wife kinda sorta rescued a big labradoodle from her work. Apparantly, a daughter thought a puppy would make a nice X-mas present for her 80 year old parents last year and didn't think it would go all Clifford on them. My wife, being the good nurse, brought the problems home.
It's a big dog. We had a mini-Schnauzer before so I'm not used to taking dogs for rides so any input would be good.
He needs a LOT of exercise.

I was just discussing keeping your feet warm with a customer, This seems to come up every year, but there seems to be a lot of newer people every year. So lets get them out there.
Here's some tip 4 u that I've come up with. Don't put your feet down! If you're stopping, grab a tree & don't put your feet down unless you have to.
Also, lift out the inner sole to your shoe & duct tape over the cleat area, so cold does not come in.
Look for a warmer insole for your shoe, I think you can get them at CVS.
I would like to invite you to join us or post this on your other sites for the rest of the riders to see. Plan a trip out to Rays in Cleveland Ohio. We have a large group that descends on Rays last weekend of January annually. There is no contest , no big show biz, just riding and having fun.If you're interested get back to me, or get the friday and monday off before and after that weekend. or if your hardcore just come out and ride and shred it up. you can find more info about rays and directions and a link to discounts on hotels. our hotel of choice is Holiday Inn.

Anyone ever seen one of these posted on ebay? I think the VMB should go in on one and fundraise for it, I mean c'mon who doesn't want a huge obnoxious red monster riding around on the rail trails...and anywhere else it may fit...:ihih:
