I was just discussing keeping your feet warm with a customer, This seems to come up every year, but there seems to be a lot of newer people every year. So lets get them out there.
Here's some tip 4 u that I've come up with. Don't put your feet down! If you're stopping, grab a tree & don't put your feet down unless you have to.
Also, lift out the inner sole to your shoe & duct tape over the cleat area, so cold does not come in.
Look for a warmer insole for your shoe, I think you can get them at CVS.
Be careful as you are putting on multiple layers of socks, that your shoes are not too tight, & cutting off ciculation at that point. I don't own winter shoes, but I did buy a pair, one size larger than I usually wear, so I can layer up. They were much cheaper than the winter shoes also.
Some people use foot warmers as well.
