Brian

I just got off the phone with Rich.
Rich thought I should post something so the members here who worked with Brian building trails at Salisbury knew.

My old pal Brian Hahl passed away today. He was just 50.
Brian was one of my very first riding buddies. Brian would always make me laugh my ass off -- always singing some stupid song as we headed into an impossible rock garden somewhere -- making it nearly impossible to actually ride. He convinced me to try my very first 24 hour race saying, "Dude, if I can do it -- you can do it."

Raystown Lake

Some friends and I are planning an end of summer weekend to Raystown Lake.

Those of you who have been may be able to help us choose a location to stay. I hear there is camping/cabins that have access to the trails. We don't want to stay far away and have to commute everyday to the trails. If you have been and can offer advice, it would be appreciated.

If anyone is interested in maybe going out there, we are planning on the weekend of August 29th. PM me and I can give you more info and keep you updated!

Trail for 8yr old

My boy is getting bored riding in the neighborhood. According to him he needs some "humps and bumps" to make it fun.
All the trails I know are either flat and boring, or steep and rocky. Not much in between.
Any ideas where to take an 8yr old?

a three hour tour... locust lake/bungalow park tr

funny how the mind remembers what it wants to remember, like the locust lake trails draining well... what does drains exceptionally well and what doesn't...well...doesn't. saturday the hubcap trail was primo with maybe one little puddle but as you descended toward the bottom the atv trails were an impassable muddy mess. i had never been up on the south side of the drainage so bw followed me up the loose rocky hike-a-bike up the power line to a decent track on that side to avoid the muddy mess below.

What is rideable after all this rain?

Hi all,

Been out of the loop so to speak lately but now have clearance from my ortho doc to get back to the trails!! :cornut:

After all these days of rain, including the downpour last nite, what is rideable these days?
In particular, is Jordan and/or Sals in ok shape?
Meaning, not too soft, so much mud/muck that I'd be doing more trail damage and not looking for my first trail ride to be a slippery root and rock mudfest.
