X-Game Champion Jamie Bestwick to host event that supports Penn State-Coaches vs. Cancer & Centre Volunteers in Medicine

STATE COLLEGE, PA; Oct. 3, 2011 – Coming off an unprecedented fifth-straight X-Games world championship, action sports legend and State College resident Jamie Bestwick (http://jamiebestwick.com) will host the inaugural Bestwick Foundation “Bike For Life” on Saturday, Oct. 22 at Tussey Mountain in Boalsburg, Pa.

Every Wednesday we will be leading 2 rides from the tennis court parking lot at Jordan Creek Parkway so there is something available for everybody.

Both rides will go until after dark. Bring your lights or plan on exiting at sunset.

1. Social, casual pace ride led by Andrew. This ride will stop frequently to regroup and cover approximately 8-10 miles. Expect to ride until 7:15 or so.

2. Fast paced training ride led by Rob. This ride is intended for those riders seeking more riding and less socializing. We will cover approximately 12 miles and ride until 7:15-7:30.

Spirited ride at S. Mtn Emmaus, please bring lights. No one will be left behind. Meet at SMC. Pizza and beer to follow at Armettas.

Meet at Saucon Valley Bikes @6pm, or at the intersection of Belfast & Jacobsburg Rds at the gravel lot @ 6:30pm

This is an after dark ride, lights & helmets are mandatory!

Ride Time: Meet at 5:15, riding by 5:30 (we start riding as soon as everyone that signed up arrives, or 5:30 - whichever comes first)

I'm hoping to meet up with Scoot for some urban/trail in the Bethlehem area. Just getting some miles in.
