Alexandria Pump Track and Dirt Jump Line

Chime in if you are interested in hitting the pump track and jump line. We are not going to open the jump line unless there is enough interest. This will probably the last time we open it before the cold weather hits us. pumptrack@jorba.org

Remember: If you ride it, you need to help tarp it!! We are getting tired of people leaving early and not helping us close the jump line.

Time again for the 4th Annual "Salsrocks the New Year Ride"!
Traditionally this ride is at Sals, hence the event’s title, but with the amount of rain we received on Tuesday, and the fact that the trails there were somewhat muddy on Saturday (and they’re forecasting a shower for Friday afternoon) we are moving the ride to SMB. We will still have good opportunity to watch the fireworks from there… And I’m Salsrocks so the event’s title still applies!

Meet at the paved lot (across from old 39) 3:15 pm.- looking to hit the trail by 3:30.

Celebrate the holidays, blow off work, escape the relatives and ride Sals and Lehigh on Wednesday.Unless anyone has a better route, let's start at Constitution at 10, get the switchbacks out of the way, then climb up to Lehigh at Dodson, do a lap, cut through the University, grab a beer or two in town, then cut back into Sals at St. Luke's and descend to the cars. Depending on the size of the group and the length of our beerstop we should plan on being out for about fours, maybe a little more.

Meet at Dodson! Ring your bell, ride some rocks fill your bottle with nog and you to will fly like Santa! There will be mandatory nog and cookie breaks along the way. My favorite recipe for bike bottle nog is to add some good whiskey and then show the bike bottle the nog :ihih:

FYI: The next (and last) 2011 night ride is scheduled for Wednesday, 12/21/2011.

Bear Creek does not allow night riding unless it is led by me. So, I'm planning a night ride on Tuesday, 11/22. Meet in lot 4 at 5:30 PM, on the trail by 5:45 PM
We're hitting the Grille for :beer: afterwards. Lights will be required.

The Alexandria Pump Track and Dirt Jump Line will be open on Sunday, 11/20 from noon-4pm. Both the pump track and jump line are in the best condition of the year. The jump line is progressive and beginner friendly. We also have a 26" dirt jump community bike and a 20" BMX style bike you can use.

The pump track is only 12 miles from Nockamixon State Park.
