Just FYI for anybody interested in Alexandria Pump Track and who haven't been there lately. I took a couple of people from Quakertown over to see it this afternoon (no rain there - got to ride too) because Quakertown Boro is very interested in adding a Cunningham Park, Queens-style woodland pump track course and half-pipe/tabletop deals to its park system to get the BMX crowd off its skatepark.
We'll be up that way for a wedding, weekend after next, and we'll be bringing the road bikes but I also wanted to do a little mountain biking while we're there. Anyone know of any parks, trail systems etc near Ithaca.
So as some of you might know I just recently got into mtn biking. I went 5 days out of the last since since buying my bike.
As I get more confident and aggressive the last couple days my chain has started to jump off. The three times it was after the smallest of airs.
It is a Haro V1. 21 spd, 3 gears.(7 per)
I am also noticing some issues when shifting from 6 to 7 or 7 down to 6 in 2nd gear. It seems to not like that change and sometimes bucks for a while.
What might be wrong?
Is this something a "tune-up" fro ma local bike shop address? Or something I can fix on my own?
Thinking of a prework ride, intermediate pace and can't stop a lot. I need to be out around 10am. Welcome to join.
As brought up by both Jaime and Kenny in shout outs - any interest in a regular ride at Nockamixon now that the trails are open? If so, what works for people day and timewise? We has one Friday afternoon ride earlier this year that worked great with maybe 10-12 riders. Day and time are flexible but I'm guessing Wednesday late afternoons seem to work for a lot of people. Thunderstorms and late notice might make this tough for tomorrow but we could start next week if that's the case. :rockon:
