Single -Speed @ Nockamixon
For anyone riding SS who hasn't been to Nockamixon yet - it really rocks. Out there for the first time with mine today and had a lot of superfast fun (even in this afternoon's heat). Check it out.
Looking for a starter bike.
I have a female friend that is interested in learning to ride.....I clearly won't be providing any instruction since I still suck.
Anyway, she is around 5'4".....so maybe a small to medium would be ok. I am thinking hardtail, but if there is a modestly priced fs is out there, that might work too.
She doesn't have tons of cash to drop on a bike, so I figured I would see if anything used and in decent shape was available.
Let me know.

Music festival at Tower farm next to Nockamixon, Sat, June 11th
This could be a great day!....riding, music and camping all near the Nockamixon trailhead.
Tower Farm is having the first of several music fests next Saturday the 11th.
Admission is $25 at the gate, location is just a few pedal strokes from the Nox trailhead at Tower and Fink Rd.
Music starts at noon and continues into the wee hours.
Details at : http://www.themixxtape.com/MIXXER_FESTIVAL.html
I'm definitely there for the music. I'll camp out if there is enough interest in a VMB party!
New handlebar setup on my Long Haul Trucker
These aren't the most flattering picture angles, but in my earlier thread on the iBert Safe-T-Seat, I mentioned that the LHT was getting an albatross bar conversion, and take over child portaging duties.
We've had this setup for about two weeks now, I just forgot how to post pictures, but it's proving to be a very fun around town ride. It's seen it's fair share of longer gravel road exploration and nature paths, too. Very comfy!
I wasn't using the drop part of the drop bars that were on the bike earlier, so no big loss.
Any tour guide available for Mon morning Nox ride?
I happen to be off tomorrow and was wondering if there was anyone else off, willing to be a tour guide for a monday morning ride at Nox?
Las Vegas mtn biking recommendations?
I will be in Vegas for a seminar soon and hope to get in a ride or two, but have no idea where to go. A few things - I can't deal with shear drops/cliffs, don't think I'll have a car - so a place that offers shuttle service would be good, and I might only have time to go once the seminar ends (after 5pm) so it needs to be close enough to get there and get in a decent ride before dark. Any recommendations?

Raystown, Allamuchy, or Blue Marsh?
I find myself having a Sunday coming up where my family is out of town, and I can take a whole period of up to like 12 hours for driving time and riding somewhere I normally don't go, as I normally need to go to somewhere that I can be there and home within 4 hours or so.
My normal choice for this situation is Raystown, but I've never been to Allamuchy, or Blue Marsh, and so I am considering them. Does anyone have any input?
