Powassan Virus

Great...like Lyme wasn't enough to worry about. Never heard of this b4.
Once again...full body scan after every ride people...who knows it could even leave to some romance with the body scanner...or yourself!

Antibiotics apparently aren't treatable with this particular tick virus.
Hate those f***ing micro-vampires. last 3 out of 4 rides a tick has hopped on me for an unwanted ride along. :jawdrop:

Cool and Un-Cool

I had a great on-road, off-road adventure this weekend. I made my way from Bethlehem to Bath to Stockertown and Easton. Then rode back to Bethlehem via the Lehigh towpath. I consider myself fortunate to live in a region that offers these types of options.

Get well Jason

As many of you are aware, Jason Shivok messed up his knee pretty bad on Thursday. I spoke with Jessica today and it sounds like no ligaments were torn, but tibia has areas were the bone was "crushed" into several pieces Sad . He had two plates installed and is expected to be in the hospital until Sunday or Monday.

It's been a fun summer so far — and the riding is just getting good...

I'm glad that Mike posted up that trip to Blue Mountain, New York.

It'll be great to get back on track with the VMB Ride Series and hit some trail destinations within a two-hour-ish radius of LV on the weekends.

Also, hoping to resuscitate the vintage VMB "Don & Doug Fun Ride" some Friday night soon. Maybe kick that off with a very social towpath ride to destination near Easton for some food, ice cream or a beer (maybe all 3?).

I'd also encourage you to check out a Heels on Wheels ride. Lots of stupid fun. Right Heidi?
