A kid needs some help here
A teen, who towers over me and is way too big to use any of my bikes, wants to try mountain biking. Does anyone have a large mtb bike they are willing to let a kid try out for a while? He's 6'2"
Doesn't fit in the other forums, post it here

I can tell it's close to lunchtime just by looking at how many people are online.
theres a rays indor mountain bike park day when and how are we getting there
Ugh, broke my seat rail today ! The seat is about 8 months old, a WTBLaser V Team with Ti rails and the bike is a Kona HT with a Thompson seat post. It snapped just behind the clamp while riding singletrack navigating a small downhill to uphill dip/depression. The seat was clamped within the range printed on the rails, although not quite in the middle. This bike has been used mainly at places like Sal's, Jordan, Weissport, Tamaqua, Blue Marsh. No real big drops or jumping. I'm bummed...thought it would have lasted quite a long time. Have really liked it and had no problems, then wham, I am riding the last 1/2 mile standing the whole way, which I guess I am lucky that it happened that close to my truck.
I'm looking to get a handheld GPS in the $200-300 range. Any experiences with Magellan Exporist Vs. Garmin Etrex, software, accuracy, ease of use, dropping signal? Explorist-500 color screen/ rechargeable battery, online for $200, caught my eye.
Thanks for the input, Glenn
took her out for about a 30 miler on Tuesday night....I dig it....good to switch it up once in a while....the hills were brutal.... the drive train is very solid.
Oh i ahh made some modifications....ill post some pics tommorow.
I'm not speaking for the club or anybody else. I'll let everyone share their riding experiences. What i can say is i've seen nothing short of an explosion of people on the website which is credit to those who pushed for it and built it. It's truly is nice to watch it grow.
always watching the website? wondering what type of rides? Trust me, there is all types of rides. Just come out and show up. The more people we have posting the more diverse we become. That's creating a culture, right!!!!!!!
I'm sure some people don't mind seeing me, but i can honestly tell you they're won't turn any new riders away.
