Where Thanks Is Due...
Now that VMB is back on track with a great new website, some great new members, some old, returning familiar faces, and a new president (Rich Butz!) it seems like a good time to take a very quick look back...
Doesn't fit in the other forums, post it here

POTTSTOWN -- While attracting businesses and jobs to the area is a challenge for Pottstown and many of its neighboring municipalities, Lower Providence has found a way to be proactive.
The township may soon become the site for the first indoor cycling track on the East Coast and the second facility of that type in the nation, according to Joseph C. Dunbar, Lower Providence township manager, who addressed the membership of the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce at a breakfast meeting Thursday.
I added a links page. If you have any mtb related links you'd like to see added there's a "suggest a link" page when you click on "web links".
And I added a private message module you can access through the "my inbox" link near the bottom.

They are runing free clincs at biksport, Tonights topic is nutrition. looks pretty cool.
Anybody with an idea on why forum topics disappear?
I posted the Emmaus Urban Ronde in the Bike Shop section as well as the Race section of the forums, but the race one has disappeared?
We've broken into the triple digits are far as website users go! As of today there are 101 site users. And don't forget this is in like 3 months! Many thanks to Bob for all his excellent work on the site!
The boys at Gettysburg Bicycles posted the map for the spring race. It looks pretty tough -- if you've ever done the exert race down there, it is now that course, plus another 25 mile loop shoved in the middle of it right after the Dead Woman Hollow climb (big long fire road climb about 1/2 way in). OUCH! 50 miles, and it looks like a lot of singletrack.

Don't know if anybody noticed, but signatures are now true signatures.
They do not show up as part of the post, so if you change your sig at anytime they will change through all your posts. Another difference is they do not support images, the HTML is basically limited to text and links.
I was thinking of taking my nephew for a hike up to the pinnacle this weekend.
Anybody have thoughts on if conditions will make this reasonable for a 9-year-old... or me?
I walked at Lehigh on Sunday and it was slippery as hell. This made the inclines very interesting.
Thanks!
