Lost! in my attempt to navigate a back-way from work to Kenny's house yesterday to deliver the BOB trailer to him, I got to see some stunning foliage/scenery in the Lake Nockamixon area.
I think that trail system will prove a great ride-to destination. There are some great back roads you could ride, then hit the sweet new trails — maybe hang out by the lake and have a lunch or a snack. Perhaps with your significant other? Oooh Romantic... 
I want to encourage you all to go visit the Alexandria Pump Track. It's not that far from the Valley, it's just been tuned by Dave King of Catty Woods along with the stewards Bob Adase and the Jorba chapter over there. There's alot of discussion on our own site about areas like this. If you havent been to this park to ride the track at least go to see where it's located....
So, Abbie, Josslin and I are at the Broad Mt. Loop lookout and just enjoying the view. Another rider comes along and says Hi and we begin to talk. He introduces himself as Mike. We talk more and start to figure out we are from the same area. Some of the things he starts to say gets me thinking; "I need to ask this guy what his last name is." Turns out it's Mike Melnick. Now I have never met him before, but I had heard his name in discussions with other vmber's. I guess he was part of the very early vmb movement, because he knew Larry Reimhert and knows Joey T.
Here's a pretty decent deal on a nicely built cross bike. Rocky Mtn solo cx bike- they'll probably be gone quickly.

i am feeling out the group here to see if there is any interest in checking out the 2011 cannondale fleet. The demo truck can make it to sals on oct 30th in the morning . it has 14 mtb bikes . carbon flashes ( 26 and 29) , scalpel, and rz120's for you to ride on trails you know. some amazing rides. enough people show interest here and it will happen. I feel like im sneaking into my house after a night at the grandview smellin of vanilla with glitter all over me. yes, i've been MIA for a bit but the racing season is over and i am looking forward to riding/helping the club. Anybody know what happened to the trails near Pachella Field down at the Wissahickon??? Somebody took out all the fantastic bermed single track and log crossings on the upper stretch of trail near the park close to a parking area. I couldn't believe my eyes as i tried to ride my way through what used to be some of the most fun fast single track. The destruction only stopped when the hill dropped too steep for the machine to continue. This had to have happened recently, maybe Friday night? It looks so fresh. I was so sad. Couldn't stop being pissed the whole ride.
