Superman Sexy!

So, I'm standing next to my bike on the Superman trying not to cough up my left lung when Rob L and Matt M blow by me.

I say something like, "So, how 'm I looking??"

Rob says, "You look sexy to me."

Man, I thought, I'm forty and I can still turn heads on the trail!

It's spring time! Who cares if I can't breathe? or climb for shit.

Life is good!

Lol

Day Trips Hot List

Here is a short list of places I have never ridden, but have heard oodles of great things about them. Plus some places I have been that I need to revisit.

I'm sure some of you out there have been to some these places often.

This forum is to spark interest in people expressing a desire to "Show us the Way" on these classic day trips.

- Prompton Dam up near Honesdale and Hauley.
- Fell Mt. (Merli Sarnoski, Carbondale) Really bummed I missed that one last year.
- Green Blaze trail in JT, that was one of my favorite rides last year. (Don, I'll be waiting for you to post this one)

Monday no so Funday

Weather is looking not so great fur Montag. I wanted to do a nice ride in the afternoon with some trailwork. That is if my butt isn't still beat from the hardtail. Oh well, might still do the trailwork part and maybe a small ride if the weather isn't too crappola. SME or SWPP (Sals).

Wanted: 16" bike for an 11 year old boy

My nephew turns 11 today and has outgrown is Giant. He is a pretty beefy kid for 11. He weighs about 100 - 110 lbs. (played O line on his football team)

A used rig in good running shape would be needed, because affordability is an issue.

If anyone could help out it would be greatly appreciated. It would mean a great deal to my nephew and his family.

Respond here or PM me if you would rather keep contact info private.

looking for some help

Hi, new member here. I would like to start hitting the trails more this year but I am thinking about getting a FS bike instead of using my hardtail. Wondering if anyone would meet me for a ride and let me try their FS bike for a little. Would like to see if it is all it is cracked up to be. If anyone is up to it please let me know. Thanks.

Visiting area from 03/24-04/18: interested in local tours

Hi gang,
I'm at St. Luke's Hospital on Ostrum as a visiting senior medical student for the above dates, interested in the local beta especially on South Mtn (as I can't find any detailed info on routes/parking). Although interested in freeride/DH if I had my druthers, I can still hang with the XC crowd even if in the back as I ride a 37# custom 4130 single-pivot. Had located the Sals maps previously, and can't WAIT for daily afternoon trips if I'm off-call, as I'm living at the hospital! Smile

Should have weekends off so would enjoy meeting up... it's surprisingly dry down here!

New Skis

So I learned skiing this winter, been a few times at Blue and BC and can do the blue's reasonably confidently (so long as its not too icey). I decided it would be good to pick up some end of the year clearance skis, in preparation for next year. I went to Nestor's and found a pair of Blizzard Firebird XO3 159's (I am 150 lb, 6 ft) for $180, with some basic bindings thrown in to end up at $254 after tax. Sounds like a good deal for some skis to take me from beginner to intermediate over the next few years?

What a small cycling world

I called IMBA (in Colorado) to straighten out our Club Membership. Stefan Richarz asked the address. .....Bethlehem, PA.....
S:"Do you ever ride up on that mountain with the college?"
G:"Yeah I sure do, all the time"
S:"I did a collegiate race there in '04"
G:" Yeah I probably took your picture"
We both looked at Lehighcycling.com. And there it was, picture #46.
We both laughed. What a small world. #108

Monday was funday at Sals

Yeah if you ever want to get anything meaningful done in life, take some time off from work..

Today there was a good bit of trailwork completed at Sals and lots of riding.

Joe, John and myself cleared up the big impasse of a tree right in the middle of the choppy S turn on the lower red before you hit the bottom lot. Now this turn is gonna flow way better with the possible addition of a berm-like feature exactly where it was choppy, off camber and blocked visually before.
