Nowhere club at Christian Springs hotel

Someone sent me a link to the Myspace page for a concert series at Christian Springs hotel, the place we are having our meeting Wed night.

They are going to have everything from bluegrass to garage music. Here's the link

Makes me think of a place in New Freedom (below York) where they have a concert series in a converted barn that has national touring acts play there.Anyhow the the Christian Springs joint is sounding cooler.

tuckermans ravine

Ok I know its the VMB meeting on Wed, but I am trying like mad to get up to tux. Looking to leave tues afternoon and be home wed night, but prolly not in time for the meeting. Anyone wanna split the gas/driving/fun with me?

New to the Valley and looking to get involved

Just wanted to introduce myself and hopeful connect for a few rides and find out about the local goods

I just took a new job in Tamaqua and will be moving into Upper Macgungie pretty soon. I'm an expert level rider (mostly trail riding and all mountain, no DH or X-stuntry)rolling on an ironhorse Hollowpoint with the usual goodies bolted on.

20 out of 23 ain't bad!

Johnny, Pat and myself are on the way to Blue Marsh Lake discussing the route for the mornings ride. It goes something like this:

Rudy: Where should we park? Stilling Basin?

Johnny: Why don't we go out to Church Rd. and do the ski area loop.

Pat: I'm cool with Church Rd.

Good deal on Fox gloves

If you like Fox gloves, Cyclegear (the motorcycle store on Lehigh St, across from the airport) is having a big closeout. 2007 Fox Pawtechtor gloves for $12.99, usually $37 or so. These are full fingered motox, but they are great for mtb if you like full fingered. A few yellow, good selection of blue, and lots of reds.

New Member

Hi All:

Just saying thanks for letting me join VMBs. I look forward to meeting everyone. Is it common for new members to attend the monthly meetings?

Take care. Enjoy the weekend.

Matt

Looking for Ideas

Seems my enthusiasm for mountain biking has started to rub off on many of my students and their families. Over the last few weeks quite a few of my kids have been excited to tell me that they have new mountain bikes (and not the Wal-Mart variety either).

So, I have been tossing around some ideas for a bike handling and skills clinic one of these weekends.

I have some ideas for skill drills like the standard weave through the cones and such; but I really want to put a trail riding signature to these exercises.
