Doesn't fit in the other forums, post it here
The first time I feel like a real mountain biker.
I just got back from a ride at Sals and I'm feeling as high as a kite right now. I just need to write this out. Today was one of those days where I had a long day at school and felt kind of sluggish when I got back to my apartment. It was one of those days that I had to force myself to get out and ride. Well, turns out that forcing myself to ride was the best thing I could have done.

Sunday morning I get up about a 1/2 hour before my alarm. I'm too excited to keep sleeping. Start the coffee, fill the camelbak, gather the gear, pump the tires, bowl of Frosted Mini Wheats and ESPN. Now all I have to do is wait for Pat to pick me up.
At the Veledrome we hook up with John Weller, John Thomas, Cousin Johnny, Scott and Dan. We reduce 6 cars into 4 and away we go up the turnpike.
Vintage Bikes
Don't know if anybody saw this in the morning call but here is a link to an article about a guy who restores old bikes and sells them at a reasonable price.

Cool Trailbuilding Tool
This thing will cut log-ride building time down to nothing. Such a cool tool. I think the club needs one!
Last minute Broad Mtn ride
Was reading the forum and see there's a ride this weekend up "north". I can't make that ride but will be checking out the goods this evening - time is flexible but was thinking about starting around 4ish.
If anyone is interested, post up and we'll work out the details. Otherwise, I'll post trail conditions, etc for those going out this weekend. If you don't hear from me, I'll be the one lost in the woods on Sunday, scrounging for berries.

What to do with my bits and pieces
I have random old parts, including but not limited to:
-mini pumps
-road and mtb tires
-cables and housing
-random bolts, spacers, nuts, spokes
-usable chains
-a few old tools
-some schrader tubes
This isn't really hot stuff for someone looking to upgrade their ride, but rather good stuff for people who are throwing campus/commuter/beater bikes together, etc. Does CAT need donations of random but usable parts? If not, anyone know where I can pass them along to so someone can salvage them and find use?
Hibernia Short Track Cross Country
The K Family did the Beginner B race at Hibernia Park down in the Coatesville area yesterday. Jonk finished 3rd on the lead lap, riding his Norco dirt jumper. Andy K and I finished 6th and 7th, one lap down. There were 11 people in our race. Mom K was along to cheer us on and video tape. We had a great time and I expect we'll do a few more XC races this year.
MONDAY EVENING -- SHOOTING FOR 5:30ish
REVISED!! I'm really pressed for time. Trying to get there immediately following work today.
Meet in middle lot (on right, where we were on Saturday).
Thx, D
The generous folks at Waste Management are delivering a second dumpster on Monday, April 21st, so we can load up the pile that didn't fit into the first one. The dumpster should be there by the afternoon.
Check out my bridges..

Thanks bob, for the link thang!
