My Custom 2003 Specialized S works Epic M5 with Brain Shock - The FIRST EPIC EVER....sorta...

The short story of this first ever Epic, is that I read about the new Specialized model in a bike magazine and had been looking for a new upgrade from my 2001 S-Works FSR. So I went down to my local bike shop and had them order a frame only, so I could custom build the bike. The Specialized rep on the other end of the phone, told the shop owner that the bike was so new, there wasn't even a part number for it....I was the first person in the world to order the bike.

SOLD: 2009 Jamis Dakar Bam II Downhill Bike | Small | $1600

SOLD

This is a Diablo model Bam II but was never part of the rental fleet. It was given to a photographer in exchange for photos used on the Diablo website.
I used it for 1 season.
Besides the scratches of a typical full-on downhill sled, the bike and components are in great shape.
The tires have some runs left in 'em, but the treads are getting low.

The bottom linkage has been replaced with the upgraded / beefier warrantied unit.
