Possibly looking for work.

I found out earlier this week, that I may be losing my job.

In an effort to stabilize myself and my family in such an event, I will be seeking other opportunities.

Some of you may know that I have a specialized field, unfortunately positions are very heard to find. Furthermore, I have only worked in my field since departing from the military almost 20 years ago.

Anyway, the point of this post is to try and establish some contacts...or network.

If anyone knows of opportunities out there, please let me know. I am flexible and even willing to take on a career change.

Thanks

Looking for a doc and PT

Hi all,

I figured there might be some good feedback from this group on these questions.

I'm in Bethlehem - out near the airport - and I'm looking for a general practitioner/internist in the area who has some experience with endurance athletes or is one him/herself. Any thoughts? If not, maybe just a good doc in general?

And, I'm going to need a PT too...again, looking for suggestions.

Thanks a ton,
kuhn

My son's first balance bike outing

We bought our 28 month old son a Specialized Hotwalk last week, and I was a bit concerned because although he liked it a lot, he refused to ride it, he would only push it. But then it was suggested that I show him some videos of toddlers riding on YouTube, which I did, and that made him start to actually ride it in our house. With the rain finally breaking for a little today, we took it outside, and I think he did pretty good.

Cars broken into at jburg

Yesterday (Sat. September 3rd) my car and a friends were broken into at Jacobsburg, The theft broke our passenger windows and stoke an ipod from my car, and a cell phone +wallet from my friends. The break in happened between 10 and 11 am... if anyone knows anything please let me know, any info helps.

Thanks,

Justin

Thank You

Thank you to all VMBers who took time in the last week, whether on full trailbuild days or simply during their ride, to repair damage to our three trail systems. It says a lot for both our club in general and our individual dedication to ride in particular that our trails were fully ridable within a few days of one of the worst non-winter storms to hit eastern PA in the last 20-25 years. I'm pretty sure ours were among the first to fully reopen in the region as a result.

smb trails cleared today

SVBikes and friends cleared about 30-40 trees this morning. So,I believe that at this point, most of the south side of the mountain has been cleared. A big thanks to Nick, Doug L, Tom D, Gus S, Jason M, Marty W, Matty K, Jeffery B, and myself. Trails that were cleared were turtle, deer path, stinger, moto was clear, Ono, and bones. There are still trees down on the north side if anyone is up to cleaning up.
