Who likes Wine

The Bear Creek Spring Food and Wine Festival is scheduled for Saturday, 4/14 and Sunday, 4/15. One of the things we offered our hotel guests that bought a wine weekend package is their option of a morning yoga session or a guided hike. I have the yoga covered but am looking for someone to lead a hike on Saturday and Sunday morning. You don't have to do both days if only 1 day works for you. As payment, I will give you 2 tickets to our grand wine tasting on either Saturday or Sunday. That's a $50 value. You just need to know the trails well enough to lead a hike.

Let me know asap.

Some clips of dirt jumping

On the Merli ride yesterday, we were talking about dirt jumping. Thought I would post this videos from the Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz Bike Festival last year. This one is from GoPro, featuring a bunch of their sponsored riders jumping the dirt jumps at the Post Office dirt jump track in Aptos, CA, where we had the festival. There was another one from the end of the contest, with all 18 riders riding the track simultaneously in a huge train, where no one fell, but I can't seem to find it right now.

EnduroRama graphic

Can someone please PM me with a link to the EnduroRama graphic that has all the info? There is one floating around but its too small. I want to print it and hang it in my work, 8x11.

Or if someone can email me the file, if thats easier. Thanks!

More cycling-related bad news from Bethlehem...

Monday evening, April 2, 2012, another high-profile, expert cyclist was hit riding his bike on the Fahy (New Street) Bridge in Bethlehem. Miraculously, Frank Pavlick, CAR-FREE.ORG's Advanced Mechanic Instructor and League of American Bicyclists certified Cycling Instructor, avoided serious injury.

Bethlehem police apprehended the driver of the vehicle that hit Frank after the car driver attempted to flee the scene because of the quick action of a LANta bus operator who blocked both Northbound lanes of the bridge with his transit vehicle.

Rich is NO Fun!

So I texted Rich yesterday and said, "Wait 'til you see the new VMB logo CaliMark is working on!"
It seemed like a great April Fool's gag, since Rich is the exclusive owner of a flesh version of the current logo...

I got nuthin.
:cryin:
Oh well.
