Trailwork

Trex current work

I was consulted by an experience park builder who recommended we communicate what is being done to reduce objection. The current trail build is reworking a poorly designed trail and destroyed by me in the early days of killdozer, it was lost to the Autumn Olive this past season. The area was fully cleared to about 80' then Chris Tallotta laid out a sweet flowing trail which soaked up the full corridor. The dozer was used to remove the upper layer of Autumn Olive loam to remove AO roots and expose the underlying shale.

Trees For Trex

Jeff, Chris Cummings (Springfield Tree Farm, Rte 412 just inside Bucks Co ) and Jim Dellavalle loaded up 4 sycamores and 5 red maples destined for Trex.
Chris donated $1470 worth of large leftover native stock that someone had ordered but never picked up.

Sals Litter Crew

I guess these guys figured that since we were cleaning up the Sals mess, we could clean up their mess, too. Looks like they just dropped the gate and dropped the hammer. Dude even left his cigs along with the pile of debris stretched half-way across Constitution Drive. Makes me wonder if it was the guy in the blue 80s pickup I passed driving across Jeter Ave. who was headed that way at 8:15am with a ton of brush heaped in the bed. Now I wish I followed him...

Cigs, brush, and a burnout...
