This post is to keep VMB members as informed as possible on the WPP rule changes, which include night riding.
Approximately 25 VMB members attended the last Board of Commissioners meeting on December 9th. We stated VMB's support for the proposed changes, and requested they be approved as written. After some brief debate, the Board of Commissioners said the rule changes being proposed were ok. The Board could not vote on the rule changes at that meeting because of procedural requirements, and that it would be brought up for a formal vote at the next meeting.
Notice to all VMB members - there is a Salisbury Township Board of Commissioner's meeting Thursday night. Newly proposed rule changes for Walking Purchase Park are on the agenda, which we expect will be voted on during the meeting. The proposed rule changes include allowing night riding :thumbsup:
Parking at Tower Road. Thats where the tools are, we will find a suitable place in the southern section for the lock box and move it.
We have permission to ride the trail on workdays (every Sunday) if your not into building trails you can help out by riding the trail and packing the soil. Thanks

VMB Annual Party

Due to scheduling conflicts, the party has been moved to a week earlier. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope everyone can still attend.
The trail work at Nockamixon is moving right along. Stop on out for a fun day of trail building. We will be bench cutting and rock armoring sections of the trail. We could use all the help we can get. Stop out for an hour or two or spend the whole day.

This event proves more more fun and successful each year. It wouldn't be possible without the help of a bunch of VMB volunteers and this year's sponsoring businesses and organizations:
I know its short notice but we are going to have a trail corridor clearing* day Sunday Sep. 26. This will be in preparation for the first official trail "build" day at Nockamixon which will be held mid Oct. The trail committee decided it would be best if the corridor is clear for the first official build day so that the new local volunteers would have a positive experience their first time out rather then ripping through dense brush.
