Since the opening of the Trexler trails, Schnecksville is not in the middle of nowhere anymore. If you haven't been to Fitness Central before, come check us out. We have some sweet bikes and cool gear. We added Scott Bikes to our lineup last year and now are going to let you ride them.

Come ride one of the most wanted bikes on the market, Pivot Cycles! If you have not had the chance to ride a Pivot, now is the time! They will have their fleet of bikes in size runs, so you can play on the bike that fits you best!

Meet at the Main Parking Lot, we will split into 2-3 groups as needed, based on your comfort level. Please be at the lot at 6:30pm, ready to ride. Followed by a trip to Deverys
If you can, be sure to turn out for the annual Rally in the Valley this coming Saturday. Cost: $25 donation for trail work in the area.

PMBA will hold our annual Mountain Bike Festival on Saturday, April 21,
2012 at Wissahickon Valley Park, Philadelphia. The festival will feature
group rides, skills clinic, kids activities, lunch and door prizes. We
Nockamixon mountain bike trails will be closed 4/21 and 4/28 for the first days of Spring Gobbler (Turkey) seasons. The 21st is the youth hunt and the 28th is official opening day.
The trails will be closed until 12:30 pm (4/21 and 4/28)
Spring gobbler season official hours: Respect the hunters.
April 21 is a youth hunt. Hours are 1/2 hr before sunrise until noon
April 28- May12. Hours are 1/2 hr before sunrise until noon
May 14-31. Hours are 1/2 hr before sunrise to 1/2hr after sunset.

Yea its the same weekend as Dirt Fest. I think I may head up to Highland. A weekend of learning trail building techniques from very qualified trail builders, and hitting the trails in the afternoon sounds like fun to me.
This year's course will be unique because we will offer an introduction to mechanized trail building with one of New England's most prominent professional trail builders, Hardy Avery. We will also be working with personnel from Highland Mountain Bike Park to better understand how to build gravity trails.
This ride was originally planned as a women's ride but decided to open up to everyone. With a little arm twisting, Bob W. agreed to lead and show us the trails. This is ment to be a social ride. I will try to plan a destination ride later for those who want to hammer it up. Maybe stop to eat afterwards.
Directions...From Rt 80, take Ex 19, make a right at the light, go 1 mile on Rt517, look for Trail Head sign on right, make right turn onto dirt road take to end park!
Time to plan early. Have a 3 day ride pass to use. May need to share a room this time or will be staying somewhere else this trip. The Holiday Inn Express was nice but expensive and the breakfast was kind of creepy. Although, someone should stay there with Doug so he could use the instant pancake machine.
