Trail Details

Tucked into an urban park inside the city limits of Pennsylvania’s third-largest city, Jordan offers surprisingly good trails. About 9 miles of singletrack (connected by some grass and dirt doubletrack) spiral around Jordan Creek.

The dirt is smooth and fast, and the trails have a ton of flow—keep your head up, the turns come fast. There’s a handful of log overs and lots of roots, which feel extra greasy when they’re wet.

Because the trail system is so compact and has been expanded over the years, the trails loop back on themselves and intersections abound. VMB has signed three primary loops: The beginner Ponds Loop, the Intermediate Luby Loops, and the advanced Bridget to Nowhere Loop. RIders can stick to the loops or mix and match how they ride the trails.

The Bridge to Nowhere Loop, which is accessed by crossing over the Jordan Creek, has the system’s only significant climb and rockier, steeper terrain. It’s a great litmus test–ride it cleanly and you’re ready for the area’s more challenging trails systems like Salisbury Walking Purchase Park and South Mountain Preserve.
