The 2nd annual Catasauqua "Tour de Pool" is scheduled for June 20th @ 1:30 pm. It is a Mountain Bike only, 10 lap criterium through the Catty park grounds, adjacent streets and right around the edge of the pool while the swimmers spectate! (Think Allentown's Tour de Brew with a swimming pool instead of a bar). After the race, the Lehigh River Blues Jam kicks off for a fun filled day of beer, blues and food! This was a blast last year, and will be even better with the Blues Jam right afterwards! Anyone interested in participating should contact Vince at vince@bierysport.com to pre-register. Some additional information:
The race is about 6 - 7 miles. Should take about 45 minutes or so. Entry fee is $15 in advance, $20 on race day. Cash prizes will be awarded. Registration opens at 12:00 Saturday and close by 1:00 pm. Proceeds benefit the Borough of Catasauqua.
