Nox Hike and Public Input Meeting
VMB Member Submitted by greg761 on Mon, 01/05/2009 - 3:02pm.Nockamixon State Park is having a Public Input meeting at 6pm at their Environmental Education Center. So let's do a hike at 2pm to check out the eastern section of the Park, then motor on over to the meeting.
And of course, an after meeting meeting.
Meet at or near Kool Kenny's house right on Pa Rte 534.
Kenny will post directions.
Sunday Forecast: "Wintry Mix" Ride

We'll head over to the southside to S. Mountain -- hitting a small portion of trail, then head south seeking out some hills to ride, back through Fountain Hill and hit a little of Salisbury and back into town. Maybe grab a coffee/hot chocolate in town. Bring money!
Approximate distance: 15 miles (give or take)
Pace: B-C
Technical: A (big hills, rocks, logs)

Towpath night ride
VMB Member Submitted by rsdmag on Sun, 01/04/2009 - 2:56pm.Bring a light- park at Sand Island. Figure 1.5-2 hours of riding at a moderate but steady pace. If you're new to night riding, this ride will give you a good opportunity to test out your gear without having to worry about negotiating the trails at the same time. Ill be riding a fixed gear cross bike if that gives you any indication of the speed.
Trex flagging - time change

The film "investigates the human, medical, and political dimensions of Lyme disease." It's a heavy but important topic for all of us and our families. Showing will be at my house; address is 359 Hamilton Avenue, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
