Looks like we are going to have a good turn-out for tomorrow and I thought I start a seperate thread to get some preplanning going and make sure we get the most out of couple hours out there.
For those trickling in after the official start time - just follow the trail from the parking lot. The sections we'll be working on are about a 15' walk from the lot if you follow the trail - 10' if you know how to cut accross. If you ride your bike in great - we'll need at least one good test dummy to verify questionable turns.
It also looks like we'll have enough people for 3 work teams - we can have one group working the lopers making sure the eye removal branches are clear along with taking care of some of the impinging brush. We can have a second group working the steel rakes to clear the dead fall off the line and third working the shovels and grug hoes for a couple of well placed bench cuts.
We need at least
3 steel rakes
one or two long handle spade shovels
hand prunes
1 pair of lopers
hand saw - bow or folding
2 grub hoes/adz hoe
Bring what you have, if there's extra it's better than having to share.
Given the openess of the terrain and the relentless wind in these parts, we may want to have a team drop flags so the line is visible into next week and at the very least we'll need to mark directions at the intersections to id the best loop.
