That Was The Year That Was

Coming towards the bottom of the year and it's time to sum up, think about where we are and how we got here before moving forward. ("We" as a club, as individuals, whatever.) So, anyone have any notable life experiences, on the bike or off, that they's like to share? A few things from 2006 that I'll remember:

Sals: we "closed the loop" in 2005, but I think 2006 was the year that Sals came into its own. New trails include some of the stuff near Dodson, the boulder bypass and the outer ridge trails, and the new, almost complete orange trail. Riding there, I see people from all over checking it out, and they all rave about how good it is; land managers are starting to call it "the jewel of the Lehigh Valley."

Hospital Club: Riding-wise, a big chunk of this year truly sucked for me, but I did get to spend a few nice weekends on a morphine drip... Jay's got us all beat, but Doug also did some hospital time, Lori got herself a pretty pink cast, anyone else join the hospital club this year?

Hey Racers! How did you do? Rivalries, results, war stories, whatever you have...

Then there are the rides. Nothing special, you're just out on your bike, alone or with some friends but it's all good, even when it's bad. What do you especially remember from 2006? My best ride was the day after I got the cast off. I could hardly walk and I only rode about a mile, but I as back on the damn bike.
