Today there was some West side hiking going on at Sals. Me, Greg and John hiked for about 2 hours on the Western side getting a look at the terrain.You might think its crazy to walk on an ice covered hillside and you're right! One of the favored techniques was the sit and slide-where, when you thought it was too hairy to walk you had a seat and let gravity and low friction take over.
Anyhow we got a good look at the lower line above the road out to the extreme western end. We did notice nice touches like a tree stand 50 feet from a deer feeder!
So there will be plenty to do out there this year when we start cutting in trails. Hopfully we can have something flagged in the next month or so.
The next trailwork thing is on for Sunday, with some more work on the sticker hell trail across from the boulder trail.Strat time will be posted soon.
