You all know the nursery trail-you cross the road after the muddy part of the upper red trail, go onto that crappy jeep road/atv trail with stickers aiming for your arms, and then hang a hard left onto an awesome fast section.Well, today out of total boredom I went over and hiked through the sticker jungle to try and find a way to bypass the jeep road, and lay in some interesting trail. The good news is that I found a way a loop can exist there that wouldn't be a big deal. The back part would be an extension of the fast, cool section(like if you are going downhill on this existing part, just turn around and head uphill, go past the jeep road and keep going about 100 yards). This section is open and was right above an old quarry.
The tricky part is connecting this to the road. There is a way to do this, actually by going under some of those evergreen trees, which is what the deer are doing. There are some big bushes that would have to be cut away as you get close to the road, but only a few stickers. The end result is that this section would be much improved and a bit longer.
Condition wise, it was treacherous hiking on this stuff. The snow has melted down to about 2" with a heavy ice coating. To walk on it you risk wiping out at any instant.I did see a fresh bike track so someone was doing a ride.
