Went to Hubbard Bike Club last night. So cool to be there again. There were probably about 50 people riding and 4 different groups out. Always a ride for every ability, and you can swap from group to group like a swinger, if you go like that. The trails are rocky, technical and have really good lines. After the ride and fishing in the pond and a pleasent outdoor shower looking at the stars and the mountain (seriously!) the dinners are legendary. Owner John Grabowski is a host like no other, and he pulls out the stops every week cooking up huge meals for everyone using local meats and veggies and bakery stuff. Lat night John served up 4 trays of Murazzi's Sausage and fresh-baked rolls, grilled veggies and corn on the cob plus there is always a great beer, wine, soda and coffee selection. The desert table was rad as well.Incredible! The post-ride barn party is so unique, and it is well worth the drive to get there.
The ride starts at 6:00pm every Thursday. Those guys want to do another Hubbard/VMB weekend sometime soon, too. For full effect, you should definitely try to get up there at least once this summer.
