Whitehall Parkway Update

I finally got to speak with someone from the Whitehall Parkway Envirenmental Advisary Council on Sunday morning. This group controls and regulates any trail maintenance or new trail building in the Whitehall Parkway (there is a map of this area in our Map page). They are interested in us volunteering to do some single track trail clean up but I need to attend their next meeting (March 12th). They would like me to give them info. about our club and explain what maintenance we would like to do.
This gives us another riding area to maintain, but it's close to our place so me and the boys can split our time between Trexler and there. If we need another trail committee for this area, I'll volunteer to chair it. I'll need some help preparing my presentation, so I'll be contacting the usual suspects. This park is about the size of Jordan and has an existing single track system and the Ironton Rail Trail runs through it. It is North of Whitehall on Route 145, West of the Sheetz. My plan is to get involved with their Advisary Council and do trail maintenance. From there we'll approach them about expanding the trail system and possibly propose a pumptrack and/or skills area.
