so first lets back up a day. Saturday morn i got the award for best uncle(givin by me) by taking my little niece to clay art school. 10 saturdays in a row. ouch. good birth control though. After class i headed to Buds house/plantation. The goal was to light his flame of cycling again. pretty sure it was successful. two hour road loop with a good pace . Thinking of a way to really piss him off to fuel the fire like he had a few years back. i'll get him.
That night i thought it would be cool to try climbing. Sarah and i headed up to wind gap to the north summit climbing gym. After a short lesson on belaying we were set free. Loved it. Towards the end of the night we were getting pretty bold. At one point i was hanging from a flat section of wall parallel to the floor . She was off the heezy too. we'll be back. thats exactly what we need is another expensive hobby. fun night out though.
ONto the late arrival. this morning i wanted to ride the derby but was six minutes late due to a head wind riding out. If your ever invited on "the derby" make sure you have a couple hundred hours of rotating pace line riding . its a very intimidating group ride. So anyway, in the past i was successful with catching the group but failed today. couldn't make up six minutes with the wind. At one point i saw a big group and pegged it for 10 minutes only to find it was a team ride and the derby was still up ahead. Balls! On the route i road through some questionable puddles formed by run off from the fields. The thankful i was late part was once i caught up to a few riders and saw the dried fecal material on their faces from riders ahead riding in the puddles i was so glad . gross. thats not even vegan. poop is still an animal byproduct. i had a very cool ride back passing lots of non tax paying, drug dealing amish folk in their pimped out buggys. i must admit though, the ladys in the long skirts and nylons riding retro single speeds works for me on several levels . gigitty.
