Salmon Hills Nordic Center, near Oswego, NY is going OFF! They have just rec'd 18" of powder, and they have snow forecasted ever day for the forseeable future. Their season total so far is approaching 100 inches! Closer to home, Crystal Lake Ski Center (20mi east of Williamsport) has snow cover, is getting more, and opens just after bear season (Dec. 21). All in all it is a great start to winter.

EWR Factory Team member and Elite Endurance XC Champ Jamie Huber and I are topping out on a 25 minute climb from the valley below. He is skiing traditional XC style and I am skating. XC is too cool, and a great aerobic and balance workout. If you like riding, you'll love XC skiing.
