Salisbury Trailworking Sloppfest

It was a cold, sloppy, wet, and snowy trailworking day that started off with the usual cell phone calls to see if we were still working.Thankfully the consensus was to go for it and there was a great turnout!
I don't remember all the names but we had about a dozen or so folks including a few folks that I never met before. Its possible there is photo documentation so maybe we can figure out the numbers later...
We worked on the new blue trail extender starting from the climbing turn. Some folks, like Don, Brian and Rudy, had the fun of being the clay fill diggers. Hopefully you'll never get to do this job! Its like shoveling heavy, wet snow, only you have to use a pick and go through some rocks and stumps to get at it first.
The trail was flagged out after the climbing turn and to the next climbing turn.We were able to get this part cut in with some nice flowy turns.

As usual, we spent about 1 hr looking at the turn design and then discussing other possible designs and then finally going back to the original design! After which we chain sawed the climb-out from this turn to the next climbing turn.

There is still a ton of work to do in this area but it looks like the trail will be an awesome addition to our trail system. Thanks everyone for showing up and helping!

As usual we'll be there at select times before the next trailworking session.
