Valley Mountain Bikers and Jacobsburg State Park, with Saucon Valley Bikes and Curt's Cyclery in Nazareth) will host a Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day at Jacobsburg. The fun, free event will include rides and activities for kids between the ages of 3 and 16, as well as skills clinics, and a special presentation from members of the PA Equine Council on safe interaction between horses and bike riders.
There will be organized age-appropriate rides for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders (see the schedule below for details). We'll even have a course set up for little ones on balance bikes.
Please note: All kids must be accompanied by a parent, have a properly fitting helmet, and bike in good working condition suitable for off-road riding. Anyone interested in attending should register with PA DCNR/Jacobsburg State Park.
The free event will be staged at the horse parking lot off Belfast Road: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Jacobsburg+State+Park+Horse+Access+Area/@40.794674,-75.3123325,577m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x89c468420379cd69:0x56c1d0fae64b153a!8m2!3d40.7965385!4d-75.3118818
