4th Annual Triple X TrexxxFest Halloween XC Enduro and X-Treme kids Race is ON!!
We have been given permission by the county to hold our family friendly fun race event in October. The date of the event is still up in the air but planning must start now. We will be holding a planning meeting at Fitness Central in Schnecksville on Wednesday, August 10th at 6pm to go ove the details.
We will discuss:
1. Date of the event
2. Volunteers
3. Course layout
4. Sponsorship
Some new ideas I have for this year:
1. Designated Expo area organizer
2. Time penalty for not dressing up (30 seconds added on for each stage not raced in costume)
3. More stages (either repeats or use border trail)
4. Security? – Last year we had a wallet thief in the parking lot. Unfortunately, I think we need a couple volunteers to monitor the parking area.
5. Better time management for flow of riders. The only complaint I got last year was people waiting a long time for each stage.
6. Rain Date
7. Raffles and other fundraising ideas for our Trexler Trail Fund
We need sponsors. If you secured sponsorship money last year, great job and hit ‘em up again. I deferred our race team sponsors to this fall event in hopes of helping fund the race.
