Everyone,
I would like to let everyone know that the club has been affected by an insurance issue at IMBA - we used to get our insurance for club activities through them and unfortunately the carrier dropped IMBA and all the affiliated clubs and chapters. VMB is one of them.
Fortunately, we have made very good progress and it looks like we have two options going forward that fit our budget and our needs and will not require us to substantially change our activities.
With that said, VMB will have a lapse in coverage for a few days and as odd as this sounds with two feet of snow and the impending storm that you please check with the board before holding any club events or activities in the next few days - things like trail maintenance, group rides, etc. (organizing future events should not be a problem - say anything that takes place after March 8th.)
If all goes well, we should be back in business before the end of the week. the new carrier will take a few days to get the club all set up.
