Hello Everybody!!
After recent conversations with different groups of people and listening to what people wanted and needed I've decided to put some rides together.
First a little bit about my cycling background. I started riding and racing mountain bikes in 1992 and ever since my life has been consumed with bicycles. My passions are not limited to any one style of riding, I have love for them all. (XC, Road, Downhill, Jumping, etc) This love of cycling has taken me all over the country giving me great memories and wonderful friendships. Through my years I've competed in hundreds of mountain bike races, in all disciplines of riding. My commitment to training and riding has enabled me to race the Pro class for about the last ten years. I still race this class but my focus has moved to super d, and enduro events. A typical week for me involves riding as many different bikes as possible. Being able to go dirt jumping one day and then an 80 mile road ride the next makes me very happy. Something you learn on one bike can easily be applied to another. This not only allows you to become a better, well rounded rider, but it can also amplify your riding experience.
I would like to start with a women's weekly mtb ride on Thursdays. (Starting July 11, 2013) These rides will most likely take place in Bethlehem at either SMB, or Sals. These rides will be limited to 6 riders and I'm asking $10 a head. I'm limiting the amount of people for this so that I can actually work with and focus on each rider. I'm not sure of an exact distance for these rides as I want riders to point out examples of what they want to learn while we're on the trail. Whether it be logs, cornering, rock gardens, bunny hops, whatever. This ride focuses on the group and what they collectively want to learn. I'm figuring on being out for around 2 hours.
In the future I will be doing more rides like I've done in the past focusing on more intermediate/advanced trail riding including drops and jumps.
